The Poetic Phonotheque organizes two international poetry film festivals: WORLDTHREADING – International Poetry Film Micro Festival (Spring and Summer) and NATURE & CULTURE – International Poetry Film Festival (Fall).
Together, these festivals celebrate the meeting of poetry and moving images, creating platforms for filmmakers, poets, and multidisciplinary artists from around the world to share stories that transcend languages, cultures, and geographical boundaries.
Through international open calls, curated film screenings, poetry performances, artist talks, and community gatherings, the festivals explore the relationships between humanity and nature, cultural identity, diaspora, environmental awareness, and the power of poetic expression.

NATURE & CULTURE
International Poetry Film Festival
Founded in Copenhagen in 2021, NATURE & CULTURE is an international festival exploring the relationship between the natural world and human experience through poetry films, animation, documentaries, and experimental cinema. The festival is co-directed by the poets Patrick Horner and Elizabeth Torres.
With screenings and cultural events in Copenhagen, Malmö, Calgary, Helsinki, and online, the festival brings global perspectives into conversation through poetry, environmental themes, cultural memory, and creative activism.

WORLDTHREADING
International Poetry MICRO Film Festival
WORLDTHREADING is a nomadic microfestival dedicated to experimental and poetic cinema, bringing together emerging and established voices through intimate screenings and creative encounters. With a special interest in cultural diversity, language, identity, and stories from underrepresented communities, WORLDTHREADING celebrates cinema as a means of connecting worlds and weaving new cultural dialogues.
